Torn

So I've been putting off posting for a LONG time...a month now. I keep going back and forth do i continue to blog, or just let it die. I really like getting on everyone else's blogs but feel like I have nothing to say on my own. I can't just take from all of you and not give anything right?! So we'll keep on blogging for now.
What has been going on with us? We've had a busy summer that's for sure. I'm looking foward to this last week and then hopefully school will start (fingers crossed right?!)
I have exactly 6 days until my "due" date and wonder will Madelyn come today or will she feel the need to stay in until the doctor forces her out:) This weekend I've had contractions for about an hour or a bit more a few times then they just go away...blah. My secret hope is when I go to the dr this morning she'll send me over to the hospital immediately because of one reason or another :) (my dr is out of town mind you or else she would have set an appt to induce me this week) Which I definitely prefer being induced. My mom in law comes to take care of my family while I'm in the hospital and when I get home - this way she can for sure be here. I was not induced with Sadie and she happened to make it to my house in CA 10 min before we left for the hospital. I'm really excited for her to come. She is amazing, knows just what to do for everyone. It really takes away so much of my stress. Ben left for Portland this morning and will be back late tomorrow night. Maybe that's just what I need to have this baby- him to be out of town :)
On to other news, though the baby is really consuming me :) Sadie had her big "oral surgery" last week. I don't think I blogged about this. It's so sad really. About 2 months ago Sadie woke up screaming with a tooth ache. We took her to my dentist, and he wouldn't see her because she had too much wrong. So to the pediatric dentist we went (a new one of course after Kyle's experience) He didn't take x-rays but just by looking we knew there were SEVERAL things wrong. We ended up get her teeth finally fixed last week. Sadie needed general anesthesia (which was scary to me) and the dentist took xrays and found more extensive decay than originally thought. So the procedure took twice as long as we though (which thank goodness i'll be meeting my health insurance deductible with the baby because that clock was ticking with the anesthesiologist) She had somewhere around 15 cavities, 6 root canals, and 6 crowns...which are not pretty porcelain crowns like adults (ok ben and i happen to have more of them then most adults) :) they are stainless steel caps that cover the entire tooth- and can you imagine your 3 year old having over a $6000 dollar mouth?! That's just wrong and shouldn't happen . Poor baby girl. She has no clue what happened (they gave her some drink that makes it so she can't remember a thing-can we get that for childbirth?) haha anyway and the dds had to create gaps in between her teeth because they don't just meet most overlap. I know I sound like a neglectful parent right?! I feel terrible. They said this all started almost immediately after getting teeth! I know the pain and terrible feeling of the dentist so I've tried to save my kids from that...sugar free almost everything, brushing, flossing, fluoride rinse....the whole 9 yards but thanks to ben and I they are doomed. Anyway poor sadie that night said "Mom how long do I have to have this silver in my teeth-till they are big like yours?" I said yes and she started crying and said "I don't like them. They are ugly." I've cried several times thinking of her- it's not her fault. My biggest fear is it's going to cause her to stop smiling. big sigh (I sigh a lot and noticed I did several times while typing this) .
