The Magic Glasses

For Halloween this year Kyle is being Harry Potter. We had lots of the things for his "school uniform" around...a sweater (kyles is navy though he tells me harry's was gray) ...that stinks i say i guess people will tell you you look nothing like Harry then....and a blue tie which we had and kyle threw down on me about because people would then think he is a "slytherin" or something... so i found a maroon tie at the consignment store for $1 but it doesn't have gold stripes. hmmm that stinks. He wants me to get face paint to paint a pink scar on his forehead. I said I have makeup that will work..."it better be pinkish so it looks real".....wow. then i found a "robe" which is flimsy and sells for $25 but i got it for $5 on Craigslist. I rule. I also ordered a cheap pair of harry potter glasses online...they came yesterday! Kyle already had his robe on and quickly put the glasses on and ran away. A minute later he came back down and said "A little disappointing" I said "what's wrong with the glasses, put them on and let me see" I didn't get it. It looked fine Kyle said "I don't look as much like Harry Potter as I thought i would". I really think he thought that once he put on those glasses a bit of magic would transform his face into that of a 15 year old English boy with long hair and a scar.
In other news he's trying to convince me to make Maddie a costume to either be Dobby or Yoda. Both equally creepy. how about we just stick to a disney princess

MONDAY ugh

On Friday I got a letter home from the school nurse saying that unless Sadie receives another HEP B and chicken pox shots she will be excluded from school. I immediately pulled out her trusty shot record and saw that both shots were completed during her first year . So I went to the dr office so they could look up her official shot record and tell me what is going on. It was raining out today. I went to open the dr's door and fell flat on my bottom (very lady like) in fact so lady like that I crashed into the front door which caused the office manager to come out from the back to see what the noise was. I wanted to die. But first i had to figure out the shots. so i didn't have to homeschool my child. Causing me to again have multiple children at home. causing me to not love my mornings. Anyway back to my fall. I fell. Crashed into the door. Quite an entrance. I told the office lady that I'm not offended if she laughs. It must have been funny right? ! It always is when someone falls. They had to file an incident report and have me checked out by a nurse.
So the dr. staff told me i had to call the office where sadie had the shots because either was showing up on her office record. So I called them. I was on hold for 15 minutes for the receptionist to tell me they were too busy today and she'd have to get back to me when she can look that up. I'm sure that's only because the call wasn't going to result in a visit, or $. My kind nurse did more digging and found out that 1 of the shots was administered 1 month before she turned 1 and the other 2 months before she turned 6 months. Thus making those shots invalid. What dr administers shots too soon? Obviously glad I don't go to that office anymore. Now I have to take sadie to get those shots. I would rather fall into the dr.s front door. I would rather have a kidney stone. At least I could suffer silently. Taking Sadie for shots is the absolute most dramatic, ear piercing, painful (from all the kicking) experience . She was supposed to go tomorrow. But the office called and said they are out of the chicken pox vaccine. So it hangs over my head till next week.
I love Monday's. Next monday will be even better as it is Shot REDO monday.
