Bathtime

Usually bath time is right before bed here. it's crazy getting everyone clean. maddie is usually hanging on by a thread because she is dying of exaustion (sorry toddling around for the whole 3 hours after your nap is so tiring) because it is usually like 6:15ish she falls apart and i have to hold her off for 45 minutes. i usually don't last. anyway it's crazy....can you tell (yes she is laughing her evil "I'm going to take over the world" laugh)

a few things

wow i feel like i am drowning some days. here's how it goes
8:00 get up....
8:45 hurry kyle out
9:00 head to bus stop for zach
9-12 gym, errands, lunch for kids
12:20 Zach gets dropped at bus stop
12:30 take Sadie to school
12:30-3 eat lunch (me and Zach), clean, shower, pick up sadie
3:08 be home for kyle
4:30 start dinner
5:30-6:30 clean up the somehow HUGE dinner mess
7 bedtime fights begin
8-9 treadmill
then die of exaustion sometime after that
way too scheduled
somewhere in this schedule maddie has learned to walk (I hope to post a short video in a minute), and Zach is potty trained.
Zach woke up Saturday morning and said No More Diapers (I certainly haven't wanted to go there...I will gladly change diapers given his temperment and Sadie taking a full year to get it in control) So I said ok...he's done Fantastic. No accidents running errands, dry at church, and came home from school in the same clothes he was sent in. He'll go on his own (sadie never would) it's been great, he's excited and takes control himself.
Ben's work car went into the shop last week (his miles are up, and he is ordering a new car, but smaller so goodbye free gas) anyway the transmission is shot and the fleet car company won't repair it so now we can't buy it (we got a pretty good deal on the last one) so i was really bummed about that. Ben was glad, what if we had bought it, then took it in to find out it needs $5000 in repairs. We were going to buy it like next week. dodged a bullet there. too bad it was a nicer car.....
sadie turns 5 next week...I can't believe it crazy! (and i'm still behind from Kyle's birthday over a month ago:) )
I'm like 1/2 through mockingjay right now (I reread the first 2) and I have to say it's a bit of a let down so far. When a book is anticipated for almost a year I guess that's bound to happen....What did you think? No spoilers please!!!
So I'm going to take the leap. Now that I've been a blogger for some time I think it's time to improve another one of my must have skills- Couponing. That's right binder and all. We'll see. I need to beef up food storage and who doesn't want to save money and come home with 25 tubes of toothpaste for $3 haha just kidding. I can make fun of it since I am doing it right? :)
Yesterday I promised the kids we'd go to the library. It was a great trip. We found Kyle some good books (he doesn't like to read. It's like the end of the world for me. A huge failure.) but I think we've had some progress over the past couple of weeks. Anyway he wanted his own library card so we wait in line and find out about that. While we are in line Zach says "I am ready for going" sternly. Alarms start going off in my head....Evacuate NOW!!! that means i have about 20 seconds before he blows. but i haven't checked out any of like the 30 books we have. I go to a different counter than he wanted me so a few screams begin. Then I have a system....scan and stack the books so I know what is done right? NO kyle and sadie start grabbing books, scanning, stacking not scanned books in the pile. Then zach wants to scan while i'm trying to regain control maddie has climbed out of the stroller and is crawling away anyway zachs book won't scan so i help him find the barcode and BAM I look like that out of control crazy mom with all the kids .....everyone was staring i have zach in a headlock practically so i can have my hand over his mouth trying to figure out whats been scanned what hasn't. A librarian came over to help.....ugh it was terrible. I can't explain the situation so that it can fully be understood...will they let me in next time? :) I started crying as soon as we got outside . That left an impression on Zach. Haha.

Ugh... Blog Neglect

I have neglected my blog for so long. We were so busy the end of this summer. My mom came to visit and we : went to chuck e cheese, movies, the bouncy place for kyles birthday, seattle/aquarium, coulon beach, and shopping. It was busy and I have tons of pictures but got behind in posting them. We also went and saw the blue angels. Kyle turned 7, Maddie turned 1, Ben's brother and family came to visit and we did tour de seattle and the ballard locks, and today was Kyles' first day of school. Is that a mouthful or what?! so I have to get posting. then i won't be behind and feel the guilt from not posting. Ok and a word about the giant teletubbies that my brother commented on. 1.they are noise activated....they come with these rattles. 2. they sing and dance/walk around and their tummies light up just like the tv show 3. they do appear to be attaching maddie, she was uncomfortable at first and now enjoys them and 4. my dad bought Sadie one when she was maddies age, and she loved it so he bought another.. as if one wasn't creepy enough- could you imagine waking up in the middle of the night to one of those being activated by someone snoring or something. i don't think i would be able to sleep with the lights off again :)
