Merry Christmas!

Not so cute

ok maddie can fool you. One may think she's cute. She's not. She's tricking you. She is a terror. She managed to open .. in key spots about 1/2 the christmas presents under the tree. I told ben not to put them there. he told me i was a grinch. guess i'm not a grinch after all. just right. I know she's searching for that vacuum cleaner she's hoping to get for christmas. but she didn't find it she found things for everyone else though. :) this morning she had a bottle of raspberry blue childrens advil while i was getting the kids dressed. who cares right now i thought....it has the safety child cap on it. Wrong. she spilled it all down my hall upstairs. then did her cackle laugh. real funny mads...back goes another present for you. she'd better watch it for the playskool vacuum is gone. :) last night she wouldn't go to bed so i got her up after an hour of crying. she had her sippy cup but figured out how to unscrew it. poured it out all over my nightstand. didn't need that magazine anyway i guess. and finally she won't eat. anything. ever. except last night she finished zachs brownie. now all she wants is chocolate. i can't fault her for being a girl. right?!

Maddie Lou Who

I have decided that Maddie can also be called Little Cindy Lou Who. Very striking resemblance don't you think. The hair...the eyes...the big tummy. Definitely the same.

Funny Happenings

So that I keep track of things here are a few funny things the kids have done.

Thursday at 3:30 am Kyle came in my room and said he can't sleep and he needed to sleep in my bed (not happening) I told him no and to go back to bed, rolled over and fell right to sleep. 30 minutes later I rolled over and saw him....his head was on my bed and his feet on the floor- he was asleep! Freaky haha i then sent him to bed...good thing ben was home i would have been terrified if he was out of town :)

Conversation between Sadie and Zach yesterday:
Sadie: Mom is that a temple or a church (a church house she hadn't seen before)

Me: it's a church

Zach: I'm going to marry Anya (his friend) in the temple

Sadie: Zach, first you have to kiss her

Zach: oooh that's gross

Sadie: Zach you have to kiss on the lips before you can get married

Zach: disgusting

Sadie: Oh Zach, you're so young

What?! haha which princess movie is that line from?!

so it's been awhile

You'll notice the new family picture. That is not my number 1 choice. You'll have to wait until after my christmas cards go out to see the real one :)

I really have not had anything exciting going on to write about. I'm trying to find Sadie an ipod shuffle for Christmas. I know they're only 45 bucks new, but I've been watching craigslist like a hawk the past few days...nothing. or ebay. Why do people think they can sell something used for like 5$ less than a newer model in the store? annoying.

Today I went to the best dentist ever. He saved me from a root canal. New dentist...a whole new day. i only have 1 filling left instead of the 4 root canals the other dentist wanted to do.

Sadie has always called maddie "cuties" I also adopted the nickname for her. No more. Now she's "mini beast". All she does is tear apart cabinets, bookshelves, unroll new roles of toilet paper and rip books. She even smashed my favorite red vase. Even Zach wasn't so into everything. She climbs up Sadies doll house like she's king kong. I told ben about this cause she gets stuck on top. You know what his reply was....Oh she did?! Just like I was trying to teach her.

What?! yes lets teach our kids to be more annoying. Speaking of Ben's new favorite thing to say is "If we don't teach them the world will". Thats like his response to my complaining about the kids. I need something reply I just haven't found the perfect comment yet.

So my goal of 40 lbs lost at the end of the year....I have 3 more lbs to go. Man it's taking awhile. ..Ben's been eyeing some a couple of golf clubs for awhile. So I bought them as a Christmas present. So excited. He almost bought one about 2 weeks ago. I went bazark and kind of gave away the surprise I've been keeping for more than a month. We never wait until the designated day to give presents. So I gave them to him. He was going to go play golf ... i wanted him to be able to use them. It was so fun to give my surprise. Now i have nothing. The excitement is gone ;)

so here is another fantastic day while ben is gone.

Put maddie down for a nap and kyle had a meltdown. Yes I said Kyle. He melts down anytime it's time to clean his room. He's yelling at me. Part of me can't blame him i set a terrible example with the yelling. working on that. Anyway maddie wakes up screaming after 20 minutes. Some background on that...she does this a lot at night. i think cause sadie wakes her up .... for fun. but she doesn't scream she laughs. anyway i wasn't going to get her. after about 20 minutes i felt too bad. she never is upset like this. She is COMPLETELY covered in barf. and laying on her mattress screaming. in the puddle of barf. that's just wrong. I felt terrible. So i quickly get her into a bath. the first one to rinse off. then i have to give a new one to make her semi smell good again. I get her out (she still screaming) and have sadie lay on the couch next to her while i clean the mess up in her room. Not a minute into that Zach starts screaming because he was playing monster trucks online and the internet went out. Maddie's screaming still, Sadie starts screaming (I ignore just thought being dramatic) kyle is yelling for everyone to be quiet. he can't hear his scooby doo game. sadies screams are getting louder. so i go check it out. Maddie has puked all over her, but she's still laying there holding maddie. I ever so carefully lift both up at the same time (to save my couch from stinkyness...and myself lots more work). Zach, still screaming starts double fisting punching my bum wanting me to fix the computer....sure let me get right on that Sadie can you stay all pukey for a minute.?! No

I rush her to the bathroom (while zach is still punching me the whole way there) where she starts dry heaving (there are many stories of sadie puking at smells....the bathroom at the zoo, Burley Id where it smells strongly of cow...) i could go on. No time to take off gross clothes I just get her in the shower before I have bigger messes. In the meantime Kyle went into maddies room to see what was going on and he starts dry heaving. he has the worlds weakest stomach. Get tough people...did they actually come from me? it must be ben's genes.

finally calmed everyone down, took away the wii, away the computer and life is right again....until tomorrow when we do it all again.

Stuff

so Wednesday Ben went out of town. I ripped the handle off the door to my front loading washer. Now everytime I do wash I use a screw driver to pry it open. Really need to order that part. Friday there was no school we went to bounce it up in black diamond and jumped for 2 hours. Maddie didn't nap. WHAT?! so we hit the gym and then Mcd's for dinner. Got home didn't pull all the way into the garage (not on purpose) took maddie inside and zach shut the door on my car. Now i have a broken garage door. Had to order that part. It is now "locked" by putting a broom handle in the track. nice. Ben is gone again and I took all the kids and myself to get flu shots. Sadie traumatized us all. Good thing I got mine before her, I might have refused. SCARY. Trying to block that out.

I don't scrapbook, make cards, do crafts, or very many fun things like that. But I do coupon. Oh do i love it. It is a "rush" when you get to the register and watch my bill drop from $120 to $35. Exciting. Yes sometimes it is uncomfortable when the cashier is grumpy and annoyed and picky but sometimes it's fun when the person behind you is actually impressed even though it took extra time to beep through my stack. ..... makes me realize how boring I am when I get excited about free shower gel or milk....or trying to beat my 89% saved. i'll get there one day.

About weight loss. Haven't talked much about it for a while. I haven't been giving my 100% till about a week ago. whats the point in my 2 a day work outs and time with a personal trainer if I blow my calories by not writing them down. I eat better when i know i have to put it in writing. I realize my goal to lose 40 lbs by Christmas is rapidly approaching. So I have 7 left. doable. I feel like if I say it here in the blog-o-sphere I'll have to stick to it right? Then goal number 2 is lose an additional 5 lbs by February. If I can't make it past 45 pounds lost I'm ok with that. Ultimately I want to lose 50. At least it is so far off now....slowly getting closer 17 lbs closer to be exact...

I have Christmas all squared away for Kyle, Sadie, Maddie (she'll probably be happy with the bows and wrapping paper right?!) and ben. Zach is tough....not sure maybe an RC car of some sort?!

I have 19 days until I am no longer "cool" as ben says- the big 3-0 is coming. Today in the dr office this lady was looking at me with "ALL my kids" and said real loud "How old are you" I thought I must have miss heard so I asked "what" by now the entire waiting room (about 12 people stopped and looked) and she said "How old are you" How do i answer that now! i didn't know what to say so I just said almost 30. She said WOW that is crazy. are they ALLL yours? Comments like this annoy me. Do you think I'd be taking someone elses kids to the dr for flu shots? does that seem like it would be fun? not to mention they all like THE SAME.

Why do the kids have a day off every week this month. Along with a week of half days and thansgiving break? And why do they have to give said day off not on a friday. at least if it's on friday zach still gets his whole week of school in. thurs. is usually my favorite day. not this week.

Sadie loves to color and draw. I think she's pretty good at drawing. But she has this really annoying habit of drawing EVERYWHERE. She wrote Sadie on her wall, drew on my lamp my desk, the kids desk, inside my car door, her baby doll crib, her doll house, kyles legos, closet door and i'm finding more i just have to look. So she is on a coloring ban. I don't think she cares. Maddie likes to play the piano so this is her...she has the right position down and everything. impressive right?!

Halloween

So instead of Trick or Treating this year we had a "scary" halloween dinner (thank you ourbestbites for the cool food ideas) then we carved our pumpkins, and played ghosts in the graveyard. When Ben was the person finding us he made scary noises. it terrified zach. Earlier in the week Zach and I were at the grocery store and they had made a "haunted house" using an easy up tent...it was cool they used black plastic to surround it, and made zig zag halls inside with "scary" stuff. Like a giant spider with red glowing eyes that came down from the ceiling when you turned the corner. I pretended it got in my hair zach flipped...he was so scared, ran out faster than i've ever seen him run. haha

Visit to Pumpkin Patch

maddie in the front pouch carrier...she was not amused... neither was my back those things aren't made for 14month olds :)

Conincidentaly Sadie and Zach's preschools both went to the same pumpkin patch the same morning. Of course it rained harder than I have seen it rain here in a long time. Cold cold wet day :)

It was fun. The kids had hot chocolate, petted a few animals, played in a play area filled with dried corn, and a hay maze with slides...oh and don't forget the pumpkins.

I thought this picture was so funny. Sadie is high centered in the dirt and peddling really fast. Her body posture totally made me think of the Wizard of Oz. You know when the lady who plays the Wicked Witch of the West is on her bike...."I'll get you Dorothy" she even has her "ruby slippers" on :) no i'm not comparing the Wicked Witch to Sadie... I would never .....

Sadie shares a room with Maddie. Sometimes I guess Sadie thinks it's fun to torture me (that's what I see it as:) ) and wakes Maddie up. So she comes and hangs with us. Looks like she fits right in with her snacks :)

Nice Day
