Never get out of bed before 8 am...

I have debated on if I should write this post or not.  Everytime I think about it I break out in cold sweats.  Here is a warning: if you are a doctor, nurse, or some other crazy person that enjoys giving shots you should probably stop reading now.  I imagine I will annoy you.
As of last week I started taking a new medication for my auto-immune disease.  I have officially moved on from the drug that is given orally to cancer patients to self injections.  I went in to the dr. last week for an "injection training".  The first day you have to give yourself 2 shots.  then a week later 1 shot, then every other week.  until you are poor and homeless living on the street because you gave every dime to a fancy drug company.  Anyway the shots are to be administered in the stomach.  the dr. did the first one.  you don't ever see a needle. it looks like a pen.  you hold it to your skin click the lid and hold it in your body for about 15 years (i mean seconds) while the medicine dispenses.  edit very painfully dispenses.  Then I did the next shot.  and wanted to cry.  it went ok.  I had a practice pen at home that I was supposed be practicing with (minus the needle)  Apparently I should have practiced shooting up an orange because here's how it went this morning..Oh did I mention this shot goes in your STOMACH??  thank goodness I have some excess padding there.
7:45 am  Me literally pacing back and forth in my bathroom with pen in hand
7:50 am I have now uncapped the hidden needle and I'm ready to go.  For the next 5 minutes I kid you not I keep holding the pen up to my stomach and then pacing, hold up pen and pace...this isn't working
7:55 I'm running out of time I have to get everyone ready i'm thinking so I say on the count of 3 I'll just do it.  I counted to 3 probably 20 times and never actually pressed the button
then i accidentally pressed the button and immediately pull the pen away from my body then quickly realize that I did that and try to jam it back in.  adrenaline rush or something because i thought oh that didn't hurt.  Then I wanted to cry because I had about $300 running down my stomach/leg that I am then trying to rub into the tiny shot hole to get it all in my body. That did not go as planned.  The dr. told me about that happening to some people and you know what I thought? "Idiots who would be so careless with a shot that actually costs $750 EACH" well me.  that's who.  thank goodness for deductibles!!!I think the worst part is WATCHING the shot to make sure all the meds are dispensed.  I never look when they take my blood or do shots. I know what you must be thinking.  Why doesn't Ben give you the shot? HA here is my reply...1. Naive thinking or not I don't want him pinching a fistful of fat on my stomach to jam a needle in me.  In my mind he still thinks i have washboard abs. this would destroy that daydream i have. 2. He would without a doubt -- no question about it PASS OUT. and 3. when i merely suggested this he laughed.  (i was NOT joking).

Some Things

Man it's been a long time.  I go in blogging cycles.  It's time to catch up.  Yesterday we had a fun day.  It was absolutely gorgeous here.  After my normal morning errands we lived outside the rest of the day.  After Zach got home we hit up home depot for some flowers.  I spent the rest of the afternoon planting and wedding my gardens.  One of my favorite days of the year!  After the kids got home we hit a park till dinner and then I realized i hadn't eaten since breakfast (shows how much I love planting :) so we went to my favorite  place...McD's for dinner.  It never tasted so good ....the kids played and we had a great time.  After getting home ...after letting the kids stay up a little later kyle came up to me and said "mom?  tell me the truth.  Before you had us did you want kids?  Because I mean....sometimes it doesn't seem like you do. "  On a day that I had been screaming my head off I could see...but today?!  I was so well behaved.  That was a low moment for me.

Thanks to cable my children want every toy they see on tv.  Every cereal.  Every product they say "mom's will love" that tell me I HAVE to buy.  Maddie's obsession for the last 6 months has been "dream lites" have you seen these?  It is a pillow pet with lights that shine onto the ceiling.  She knows the "theme song" people.  She has one picked out that she has to have.  She tells people she is getting it for her birthday.  It's very cute.  And definitely hooked ben.  She had to have it so I had to order it he said.  This says a lot coming from "Mr. Save Money All the TIme".  So i ordered it 2 weeks ago.  Maddie picked it out off the computer.  I tried really hard to convince to stay away from the rainbow unicorn.  but I failed.  Rainbow Unicorn Dream lite it is.  But i'm now told it's on back order.  Little 2 year olds do not understand backorder.  First she thought it was coming from a store.  I had to tell her after several sad trips without a dreamlite the mail man is bringing it.  Everytime I get the mail she thinks it will be there.  How to explain backorder to little Mads.

I was walking into my room last week and kyle threw a plastic easter egg into my hood.  It said "open"  Inside was a folded piece of paper asking me to come and talk to him.  In case I don't know how to get from my room to his he drew a map complete with labels so i don't get lost
I have lots more to catch up on but it has to wait another day I have a chick flick waiting to be watched :)
